Football Helmet- Can anyone tell me what solvent is safe to use for removal of paint mark from football helmet

I have read on several websites that solvents can damage the integrity of the helmets. I need to clean the war marks left from game play on my player’s gear and not ruin the integrity of the plastic/polycarb. I would also like to repaint the helmets if I can find paint deemed safe for such equipment.
Also anyone who knows where I can buy some use adult helmets please let me know.

Get a product called Goo-B-Gone. You can find it at WalMart, Lowes, etc… Sometimes the Dollar Tree carries it also. This is a citrus based product and should not damage the integrity of the helmet. Also, you could try WD-40, it will also remove many stains.

You can find helmets on eBay from time to time.

If you paint a helmet, most manufacturers automatically void the warranty on it. Also, many leagues outlaw painted helmets, because it does damage the integrity of the helmet. About the only painting that is allowed in many leagues is a little airbrushing–just to add a design.
